“An Evening in Paris”

Join Friends of Opera for an elegant evening of dining and music Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Country Club of Lincoln.

Stroll down the Champs-Elysées and experience the music as it emanates from the café and the cabaret, from l’Opéra Comique and l’Opéra. Delight in the spirited tunes of Offenbach, the passion of the tango, and the insouciance of Piaf as students of the UNL Opera and Dance programs surround you with the music and dance of Paris.

Cocktails begin at 6pm. Dinner at 7pm to feature French Cuisine. A live auction follows, led by Husker football voice and auctioneer Patrick Combs. Auction items to include a three night stay at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas with a floor show and all air and land transportation, two choice tickets to Barber of Seville in Kansas City, art by Nebraska artist Keith Jacobshagen, Ross Metropolitan Theatre tickets, a selection of French Wines, Fabulous jewelry and more! Opera entertainment will immediately follow the auction.
